Doctor (with International Mention) from the University of Granada by the faculties of Education and of Economics and Business Management. He also holds a Master degree in Engineering and in Business Management (Master Engineer in Business Management) from HEC Brussels Management School (IC-HEC 1989) and a Diploma in Significant Learning from the University Del Valle of Mexico (2011).
He has more than twenty years experience in business management as Finance Manager, General management and CEO in various companies and industrial holding companies within the groups “Société Générale de Belgique” and “Suez”.
Since 2014, he is Managing Director of HEC Marbella (Haute École de Commerce et de Gestion Hôtelière) and Dean of Master Program in BBI-LUX since 2016. From 2007 till 2013, he was professor in Accounting and Finance, teaching Financial Accounting, Management Accounting, Hospitality Accounting, Financial Management, Entrepreneurship, Performance Management, Research Methods and Qualitative Techniques.
AMFORTH – The World Association for Hospitality and Tourism Education and Training, Association Mondiale pour la Formation Hôtelière et Touristique (AMFORHT) aims to study and promote, internationally, the development of vocational training in the tourism sector at large (including hotels, restaurants, transportation, recreation) to better match training to new conditions in the workplace.
Created in 1969 from an initiative of the World Tourism Organization (UNTWO), the AMFORHT is synonym of quality in tourism education, promoting the development of education and vocational training in the hospitality industry, and taking into account the evolution of tourism and science education.
